Custom Tensile Structure Hardware

Custom tensile structure hardware is the engineered connection set that ties a membrane roof or facade into its supporting steelwork - the node plates, clamps, edge connectors and cable attachment points that transfer wind, snow and dead loads from the membrane skin back to the primary structure. Each set is laser-cut from stainless steel plate and tube, press-bent to the required radius, precision TIG-welded, and finish-machined so that bolt holes align on site. Because every tensile project has a unique geometry and load path, the clamping points, hole positions and plate thicknesses cannot be picked from a standard catalog; they are derived directly from the structural engineer's 3D model. This hardware keeps the membrane taut, prevents local tearing at high-stress points, and lets the contractor assemble the skin without welding in place.

Because this hardware is defined by your drawings rather than by a catalog, our laser-cutting and precision-machining lines read your 3D files directly - every node plate, bent tab and bolt hole is cut to your coordinates and 100% dimension-checked against the approved drawing before packing. We also run a prototype or first-article stage: send us your drawing or a physical sample and we machine a trial batch for site fit-up, so the bulk order arrives with confirmed hole spacing and geometry. Tensile membrane roofs over canopies and stadiums. The node plates transfer point loads from the membrane edge to the main steel, and each hole pattern is cut to the project's geometry so the skin tensions correctly.

Walkway and entrance canopies. Bolted connection sets let the canopy skin be fixed to wall and column brackets on site, with no field welding that would compromise outdoor corrosion resistance.

Feature shade structures and awnings. Drawing-based node plates fix non-rigid curved edges point by point, keeping the design curve smooth and even.

We manufacture to your technical drawings or prototypes. You can define plate thickness, overall size and shape, hole pattern, bend radius, stainless grade (304/316L), and surface finish. OEM and ODM are supported, and we can produce a prototype or first article before mass production.

All parts are wrapped with custom EPE foam to protect corners and surfaces, then packed in sturdy, fumigation-free plywood crates or galvanized steel crates for safe international shipment. Trade terms: EXW and FOB.
