Polyurethane-Coated Rollers

Industrial conveyor systems, airport sorting lines, and paper mill machinery require rollers that can withstand continuous friction, heavy loads, and rapid rotation without tearing or wearing down. Standard metal rollers often generate excessive noise, damage delicate materials, and lose traction when wet or dusty. We address these operational challenges by manufacturing heavy-duty polyurethane-coated rollers engineered for maximum wear resistance and quiet operation.

Products Description

Superior Wear Resistance and Noise Reduction for High-Speed Logistics

Industrial conveyor systems, airport sorting lines, and paper mill machinery require rollers that can withstand continuous friction, heavy loads, and rapid rotation without tearing or wearing down. Standard metal rollers often generate excessive noise, damage delicate materials, and lose traction when wet or dusty. We address these operational challenges by manufacturing heavy-duty polyurethane-coated rollers engineered for maximum wear resistance and quiet operation. Our polyurethane-coated rollers feature a high-tensile steel or aluminum core covered with a chemically bonded polyurethane layer, providing excellent shock absorption, noise reduction, and high traction. Made in our ISO9001-certified Guangzhou plant, our polyurethane-coated rollers are designed to survive the most demanding industrial environments, keeping your materials moving smoothly and efficiently.

High-Bond Polyurethane Casting and Precise Surface Finish

The critical failure point of coated rollers is polyurethane delamination under high shear stress. To prevent this, our manufacturing process begins with extensive surface preparation of the metal core, including shot blasting and the application of a specialized chemical adhesive primer. The polyurethane is then cast onto the core using advanced liquid casting systems, followed by high-temperature curing oven cycles to achieve maximum molecular cross-linking and bonding strength. Once cured, our polyurethane-coated rollers are precision turned on our CNC lathes to achieve exact outer diameter tolerances and specified surface profiles (such as smooth, grooved, or crowned finishes). This rigorous process ensures consistent physical performance and high durability, backed by our multi-layered quality check: self-check by specialized technicians, inter-process mutual inspection, and a final 100% QA dimensional and durometer hardness check.

We specialize in custom non-standard roller manufacturing, offering an MOQ of 1 piece to support machinery repairs and custom system development. Our 3-person R&D team works directly with your technical drawings to select the optimal metal core design and polyurethane durometer for your specific load and speed requirements. Custom samples are manufactured and shipped within 10 to 15 days, with bulk production guaranteed to match the approved sample.

Packaging & Shipping

  • Internal Protection: Polyurethane surfaces are wrapped in protective plastic film, cushioned with high-density EPE pearl cotton sheets, and secured with shock-absorbing corner blocks.
  • External Packaging: Packed inside robust, export-standard plywood crates (non-fumigation) with internal wooden cradles to support the roller shafts and prevent any contact between the polyurethane surfaces during transit.
  • Shipping Terms: EXW, FOB (Guangzhou/Shenzhen).

FAQ

Q: How do you ensure the polyurethane coating does not peel off the metal core?

A: We utilize a proprietary multi-stage chemical bonding process, including mechanical shot blasting of the core and high-temperature curing cycles, which guarantees that the chemical bond between the polyurethane and the metal core is stronger than the polyurethane material itself.

Q: Can you provide different polyurethane hardnesses (durometers) for our rollers?

A: Yes. We can custom-mix and cast polyurethane in a wide range of hardnesses from soft 60A (for high grip and noise reduction) to hard 95A (for heavy load capacity and low rolling resistance) based on your operational needs.
