A baggage conveyor drive wheel is the machined wheel element that transmits rotary drive onto a roller-based or belt-driven baggage conveyor – one of the airport BHS wheel parts our shop specifically produces. It is turned and bored to a tight fit on its shaft, with a machined contact surface that engages the belt, chain or adjacent rollers. Because drive wheels are continuously engaged under load, their bore concentricity and seat surface determine whether power transfers smoothly or wanders and slips. A worn or eccentric drive wheel creates uneven drive, noise and accelerated wear on mating parts. We machine these wheels to your drawing so the bore, hub length and contact geometry match the existing drive arrangement, restoring positive drive to the conveyor section.
As a dedicated functional rotating part, the drive wheel is backed by our prototype support and material customization. We first machine a sample wheel to confirm the shaft fit and contact interface under assembly, and we can adjust material and surface treatment to the torque and wear duty of your line. Packaging & Transportation
Each part is first protected with custom-cut EPE foam covering corners and machined surfaces, then packed into a sturdy, fumigation-free plywood crate or a galvanized steel crate, selected by part size and weight. This packaging is built for export handling and international transit so machined surfaces arrive undamaged. We trade under EXW and FOB terms.
